Clyde Stillwell EN1 (SS)
Letter From Linda
I want to start off by
thanking each and very one of you for all your prayers and support during these past few weeks.
Clyde has gone on to see his maker. He passed away last night, Monday, at 6:10 p.m.
Clyde's request was to be cremated & buried at sea in the Pacific Ocean, so in keeping with his
wishes, we are having a military funeral. His ashes will be intombed in a model submarine, then shipped to
San Diego, where he will board a submarine for the last time. The sub will preform the "at sea burial with
honors". As family members cannot be on board when the ashes are distributed into the ocean, the ceremony
will be taped. We will receive a certificate of the longitute, laditude, time, etc along with a DVD of the
ceremony. If Clyde were alive, he would be laughing that we were able to do all of this.
Clyde's ceremony will be held on Thursday, Dec 9; at 6:30 pm at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Rd,
Cartersville, GA 30120 (770-382-0034). The family ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to
either the Vietnan Memorial or the Veteran's Memorial in his name.
his wife of 40 years, Linda
