DON MONICAL
Our shipmate, Don
Monical, relinquished the watch and went on Eternal Patrol 26 September 2009 after
a courageous and painful battle with cancer. The announcement was made before the Annual BBQ commenced by his
friend and our Base Commander, Paul Wright.
Don qualified on the USS BONEFISH
(SS-582) in 1967. No obituary was available on Don at the time of the
newsletter writing. Don will always be remembered as a great shipmate with a real gusto for life. He will be
missed but not forgotten.
